I love watching people and wondering what their stories are. I also love meeting people (for the most part) and hearing their different stories. Schools out

for the

Summer!!!

So This goes out to all those dedicated

readers that

I have, who have been running to there computers day

after day with great anticipation of a new post from

yours truly. So here it is!!

Ok ok so I know that I am probably just

typing to myself out here in cyber space, and I

don't blame you for not listening. This is my punishment

for my lack of participation in the land of Xanga.

Well I hope that I can get your attention again

at some point  this summer. I'm so happy to be

home for the summer and I plan on making it

last as long as possible! hopefully as soon as I

get a memory card for my camera I'll post some

pictures of my wonderful but crazy sisters

Six Blind Men & the

 Elephant

From John Godfrey Saxe (1816-1887)

A Hindu Parable

It was six men of Indostan

To learning much inclined,

Who went to see the Elephant

(Though all of them were blind),

That each by observation

Might satisfy his mind.

The First approached the Elephant,

And happening to fall

Against his broad and sturdy side,

At once began to bawl:

"God bless me! but the Elephant

Is very like a wall!"

The Second, feeling of the tusk

Cried, "Ho! what have we here,

So very round and smooth and sharp?

To me 'tis mighty clear

This wonder of an Elephant

Is very like a spear!"

The Third approached the animal,

And happening to take

The squirming trunk within his hands,

Thus boldly up he spake:

"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant

Is very like a snake!"

The Fourth reached out an eager hand,

And felt about the knee:

"What most this wondrous beast is like

Is mighty plain," quoth he;

"'Tis clear enough the Elephant

Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,

Said: "E'en the blindest man

Can tell what this resembles most;

Deny the fact who can,

This marvel of an Elephant

Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun

About the beast to grope,

Than, seizing on the swinging tail

That fell within his scope.

"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant

Is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Indostan

Disputed loud and long,

Each in his own opinion

Exceeding stiff and strong,

Though each was partly in the right,

And all were in the wrong!

I read this poem in my communications class this past semester and I really like it, I think there is some real truth in it. Just wanted to share it with all of you

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig!

Hey everyone, Kate and I are home safe and sound!  We had a wonderful time in Ireland, it is such a beautiful country with some really kind and witty people!

I think I better start the story from the very beginning... Our choir group left for Ireland on the 28th of June but our plans were changed slightly by a sudden stay in Chicago, like I said earlier we had to stay there 3 days before we could leave for Ireland. So we did some exploring and hanging out in the  big city while we were there...

Chicago 2

drummers

The girls

These are the two lovely ladies who I had the privilege of chaperoning on the trip we got along great......

Well once I established a few ground rules that is...lol

laying the law

So after our unexpected stay in Chicago we were off to Ireland! It is such a beautiful country!

The Abby

I had a little trouble keeping Katie from flirting with all the guys

Kissing

And the my other Katie out of sticky situations! (She sat in gum)

gum

But we had alot of fun making new friends and singing for the people of Ireland!

So alls well that ends well!

In other news, Emmies arm is healing well, Dad and the boys are getting the trees cleared from our property, and God is good! Please remember Neil in your prayers!

Chicago!!!

Wait....Chicago?? I'm

suppose to be in Ireland....

I know, but I have been in

Chicago since Thursday! The

airlines have been a mess!

Many people have been

stranded
, but since there is

only one flight to

Shannon, Ireland a day we

have been stuck here for 3 nights,

 but we leave tomorrow!!!

Our time in Chicago has been

good though lots of fun and

lots of walking! I have

pictures I would love to post

but I can't at the Hotel

 computer but maybe in Ireland.

I guess news on the

 home
front is that there has

been a huge

windstorm
and a lot

of damage has been done. A

huge tree fell on our house

and landed in our brand new

bathroom upstairs! (That right

Derrick and Darrell, all your

 hard work!!) So please keep

the people in Bonners in your

prayer as they clean up the

damage.

Oh and one more thing.... Pray

 for my sister Emma, she

broke her arm today at

Hoopfest, in Spokane. Bless

 her heart!
She has been so

 brave about the whole matter

and had to walk 15 blocks of

basketball courts to get to

 someone who could help her.

  I love you Emma!!!! Miss

you all so much and save room

on your cast for me to sign!!

Top of the Morning!

Hello to all, I am still present on the

Planet Earth and I think I am

ready to join in again with Xanga. How ever

this shall be a rather short report because of

the fact I am leaving for Ireland

on Thursday and I have a million

things that must be done before Katie and

I depart.

Just wanted to let you know, keep us in your

 prayers, we would greatly appreciated

it!

So until next time!
